Mike transferred into the high technology sector in 1983 joining Information Technology Plc where he progressed to Personnel Director, being appointed to the Board in 1987 prior to public flotation.

Recent assignments have focussed on rapidly emerging businesses in technology and science. This specialism stemmed initially from acting as interim HR Director to Oxford Asymmetry International Plc (OAI) during transition from start up to fully quoted business valued at £120m on flotation – six years after spin out from Oxford University. Subsequently, 2 years later, OAI merged with the German biotech - Evotec- with a valuation of over £300m on the merger.
