Background Information

Steve Porter SPT provides a range of practical products, which support companies ranging from start-ups and SME's, to large multinationals. Steve Porter formed the Company as a training and marketing consultancy in 1991, building on his previous experience in sales, marketing, management and training/coaching, in a variety of positions. Recruitment was added in 1997, following repeated requests from existing customers.

Steve started with Abbott Laboratories as a salesman in 1979 and progressed through various sales and marketing positions to become General Manager of the Diagnostics Division in 1985. He subsequently spent four years at the European headquarters in Germany before returning to the UK to establish SPT in 1991.

The SPT philosophy is to provide tools that can be used directly by its clients to enhance their business. This is achieved by forming a thorough understanding of customers' marketplaces, and is maintained by developing a long-term relationship with each client. This has proved to be a winning formula. Since 2002 we have worked with over 100 companies, most on a regular basis.
